The museum is owned and operated by the Lehigh & Wilkes-Barre Rail Road, Inc. (LWRR), which is a nonprofit group dedicated to preserving the area’s railroad history. It’s also one of the most unique and interesting attractions in the region. The LWRR has more than 400 miles of track, which means you’ll get a TON of train rides here! Even if you’re not a train enthusiast, you’ll still have a blast here. The museum’s layout is so detailed that it’s sure to satisfy even the most hardcore train enthusiast or first-time visitor. The LWRR can be a bit tricky to find if you’re arriving by car. There’s no sign or marker identifying the museum, but it’s located right in the middle of the downtown business district.
