Lost River Caverns may just be the coolest place you’ve never been. It’s also one of the most unique. Lost River is one of the newest and largest caves in the country. It’s also the first and only underground adventure park in the world. The park offers a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, including zip lines, ropes courses, log flumes, archery, horseback riding, ropes courses, rock climbing, a ropes course for beginners, swimming, and an adventure river ride. It is a year-round attraction offering six different themes of activities throughout the year. Themed adventures include Snowbound, Harvest, Coaster at Christmas and Spring, Summer, and Fall. The Museum of Industrial History is located at 42 Northampton Street in Northampton, just a few blocks off the main Northampton road (Route 40). The museum is open 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, and 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sundays. Admission to the museum is free, but donations are encouraged and are greatly appreciated.
