12th-Annual Bingo for a Cure Update

Elek Plumbing was honored to participate in the 2019 Bingo for a Cure event, held earlier this month in honor of Joshua Scoble (son of Elek technician, David Scoble). Josh has fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva (FOP), a rare genetic disease that turns the body’s soft tissues to bone.
Every year, Joshua’s Future of Promises’ 501(c)(3) organization holds Bingo for a Cure at the Allentown Fairgrounds, and 100% of proceeds go toward FOP medical research, disease awareness and family advocacy.
A quick update from this year’s Bingo for a Cure Event:
- Over 1700 people in attendance, including 100+ volunteers
- Total proceeds: $116,500
- $1,045,000 raised for FOP research since 2008
